To be honest I don't own an iphone but I do have an android phone where I play this game called Triple Town. It's a puzzle game sort of like Alchemy but waaaay better. It has bears and ninja bears!

I like Ghost Trick and Phoenix Wright myself. Both are DS ports, but they are text heavy and are perfect for longer trips.

There are lots of games available for iphone , ipod and ipad in itunes. My most favourite games are Step Over, Geronimo Joe and iTazer.
