Looking for a game

Hi,

I'm not a big gamer but do enjoy playing games every now and then. I've been trying to find something suitable for me but I don't really know what I'm looking for and am hoping someone on here can help.
I enjoy games like the Facebook game(s) of Castleville/Cityville, etc but I don't want the public social aspect of it. I don't want to post on my FB page that I need a 'whatever'. I just want to play a game, on my own time, and not need help from others. I don't play to interact and socialize, I play to escape.
I'm also pretty impatient and want to play when it's convenient for me. I signed up for Settlers Online but that just moved sooooo slow. I don't want a real time game.

What I want is for the FB games to not be public cries. Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts? Even key words of what style of games those are (simulation? I have no idea). I really, really like free...although I guess I'd be willing to pay for something. I never have so I'm not sure.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate any help I can get - it's been rainy the last few days and I'm getting bored!

I initially wanted to suggest that you try Jammy Dragon: https://apps.facebook.com/jammydragon/ but like Castleville and Cityville, it is also a Facebook or a Social Network Game.
It's a building simulation game and I can guarantee that it's fun and addictive plus you can play it anywhere. Like most Facebook games, its is best played with friends, implements an energy system, may generate a lot of spam and may encourage you to purchase items.
I understand that you don't want the social aspect of it but to be honest that's what Social Network Games is all about.
If you change your mind and decide to give SNGs another try, I suggest you create a separate Facebook account, try Jammy Dragon and visit the game's Facebook Fan Page for friends.

It's an extremely addictive puzzle game and you can definitely play it alone, or you can try games like Pokemon, that is if you love role playing games.
